Frontier’s Approach

Faith-based investing supported by a disciplined investment process

Frontier combines its Dynamic Downside Focus and FundFusion investment process with Biblically Responsible Investing principles to build faith-based strategies around investor values, risk considerations, and long-term objectives.

Values and Risk Management

Faith-based portfolio construction begins with screening, but it does not end there.

Frontier applies faith-based investment constraints alongside downside-risk targets, asset allocation, independent manager research, portfolio optimization, and ongoing management.

Explore faith-based strategies

  1. 01

    Establish the strategy’s risk objective

Frontier begins by establishing a downside-risk target for each strategy, representing the approximate one-year loss potential an investor may be willing to assume at a 95% confidence level.

  2. 02

    Research third-party investment managers

Frontier’s investment team performs rigorous due diligence on third-party investment managers to identify those best suited for our Faith-Based Strategies. In addition to evaluating each manager’s philosophy, process, risk management, and diversification characteristics, we assess the integrity and consistency of their faith-based investment approach. The result is a carefully curated lineup of managers whose portfolios seek to reflect biblical values by investing in companies that exemplify responsible stewardship, respect for life, ethical business practices, and strong communities, while avoiding companies whose business activities are inconsistent with those principles.

  3. 03

    Build the portfolio through FundFusion

Frontier tests millions of combinations of third-party manager funds to determine the team we think has the potential to produce the strongest results.

  4. 04

Dynamically manage the strategy over time

We don’t take a ‘set it and forget it’ approach. We adjust the manager mix and allocations dynamically (but not tactically) to stay on track within our downside risk targets while seeking strong and consistent returns.
