Ali is a Portfolio Strategist at Frontier Asset Management. Before joining the firm in 2021, Ali spent a decade serving as a quantitative analyst in risk management, with most of those years spent at Morgan Stanley. Ali’s passion has always been data science, financial modeling, and programming. As Frontier’s Portfolio Strategist, Ali is tasked with conducting statistical analysis of economic and capital markets data, as well as developing new models.
What attracted Ali to Frontier was the firm’s emphasis on systematic investing and its Downside First focus, which fit very well with Ali’s background. “It is a great transition for me into the investment world from risk, which is aligned with my long-term goals,” he says. The Frontier Research and Portfolio Management team benefits from the addition of Ali’s quant skills, and he believes he can have a significant impact on the firm’s investment process, helping to shape Frontier’s future success.
